tanA + cotA = 5 ------1)

using formula like that

a² + b² = (a + b) ² - 2ab

similarly ,tan²A +cot²A = (tanA + cotA)² - 2tanA×cotA

tan²A + cot²A = 5² - 2tanA×cotA

tan²A + cot²A = 25 - 2

tan²A + cot²A = 23 Answer
