As kinetic energy =1/2mv^2
And the S. I unit of kinetic energy is joule i. E product of mass in kg and velocity in m/s
Here,
m= 3000kg
v=60km/hr
Converting into m/s we get,
60*5/18
=50/3 m/s
K=1/2mv^2
K=1/2*3000*(50/3)square
K=1*2*3000*2500/9
K=1250000/3
K=416666.3 Joule

akhand13: but how 5/18 came
divya1261: There is a formual for converting km/ hr into m/s
divya1261: Km/hr= m/s derivation for this formual is 1km=1000m and 1 hour = 60*60 second i. e 3600 place the values as km/hr =m/s..... 1000/3600=5/18
divya1261: Hope it will help uh
