To prove:-

• AB²-BD²=AC²-CD²

Proof:-

As ∆ ADC & ∆ADB both are right angled

Than using Pythagoras theorem

In∆ ADC

AC²-CD²=AD². EQ 1

AB²-BD²=AD². EQ 2

Comparing both equations

AC²-CD²=AB²-BD²

AB²-BD²=AC²-CD². ( HENCE PROVED )
