Draw a line MN passing through E which will be parallel to AB and CD

the line will cut x in two parts,let the upper part be x1 and the lower part be x2

AngleEAB + angle AEM = 180 (adjacent angles)

108+x1=180

x1=72 degrees

angle DCE + angle MEC= 180 (adjacent angles)

112+x2 =180

x2=68 degrees

now we will add x1 and x2 to get the value of x

x = x1 + x2

x = 72 + 68

x=140 degrees
