dimensions of the floor :-

length = 16m = 1600cm

breadth = 10m = 1000cm

dimensions of the tile :-

length = 20cm

breadth = 10cm

here, we've to find the no. of tiles required to cover the floor.

to find the no. of tiles, we've to divide the area of the floor by the area of the tile.

since length and breadths are given , it's clear that both floor and tile are rectangular and formula to find the area of a rectangle is Length × breadth

therefore no. of tiles required to cover the floor = (1600 × 1000)/(20 × 10)

= 80 × 100

= 8000 tiles

hence, 8000 tiles are required to cover the floor.
