ANSWER

THE NUMBER IS = 58

SOLUTION

Let the number at the unit place = x

The digit at the tens place = y

The number is = 10y + x

After interchanging the digit the number

should be = 10x + y

GIVEN

The two digit number and the number

obtain by interchanging the digit = 143

so,

10y + x + 10x + y = 143

11x + 11y = 143

x + y = 13 ..... (1)

GIVEN

If the digit at the unit place is 3 more than

the digit at the tens place

so,

x - y = 3 ...... (2)

from equation (1) and (2) we get,

2x = 16

x = 8

put x = 8 in equation (1) we get,

8 + y = 13

y = 5

The original number is

10y + x

10(5) + 8 = 58 = ANSWER
