by splitting the middle term

= 2x^2 + 5x + 3

= 2x^2 + 3x + 2x + 3

= 2x^2 + 2x + 3x+ 3

= 2x( x+ 1) + 3( x+1 )

= ( 2x+3) + (x+1)

the zeroes are x= -3/2 or x= -1

Answer:

by splitting the middle term,

  = {2x}^{2} + 5x + 3

 = {2x}^{2} + 3x + 2x + 3

 = x(2x + 3) + 1(2x + 3)

 = (2x + 3)(x + 1)

therefore \: x = \frac{ - 3}{2} and \: - 1
