Answers :-

1) 24,000N

2) 2.67 m/s²

3) 6400N

Given:-

  • Mass of the body(m) is 2400 kg
  • And starts from rest [u = 0]
  • Final velocity (v) = 32 m/s
  • Time taken by the body (t) = 12 s

To find :-

  • Weight of the car
  • Acceleration of thr car
  • Force acting

SOLUTION:-

We have have formula to find the weight of the body that is

W = m × g

  • W = weight
  • m = mass
  • g = gravity (10 m/s)

Substituting the values ,

W = (2400)(10)

W = 24,000 N

So, weight of the car is 24,000 N

Remember that :-

Weight and mass are both different they are not equal

We have formula to find the acceleration of the body that is

Acceleration = Change in velocity/time

Acceleration = Final velocity- Initial velocity/Time

a = v-u /t

Substituting the values ,

a = 32-0/12

a = 32/12

a = 16/6

a = 8/3 (or )

a = 2.67 m/s²

So, acceleration of the body is 2.67 m/s²

We have formula to find the Force acting on the body that is

F = m × a

  • F = force
  • m = mass
  • a = acceleration

Substituting the values,

F = 2,400 × 8/3

F = 800×8

F = 6400N

So, force acting on the body is 6400N
