by section formula,
x=mx1+nx2/m+n
= 1(2)+2(2)/1+2
= 2+4/3
=6/3
=2
y=my+ny2/m+n
=1(1)+2(-8)/1+2
=1-16/3
=-15/3
=-5
therefore co ordinates of point p are (2,-5)
