I'm writing overdash under the number. So, don't get confused.

Let x=0.54 ---------(1)

Multiply 100 on both sides

100x=54.54 ----------(2)

eq(2)-eq(1)

100x-x=54.54-0.54

99x=54

x=54/99

x=6/11

6/11 is in p/q form.

MARK ME AS THE BRAINLIEST.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x = 0.545454...... -----eq(1)

Here Periodicity = 2

So multiply eq(1) by 100 on both the sides

100 * x = 100*0.5454....

100x = 54.5454.... ---eq(2)

Subtract eq(1) from eq(2)

100x = 54.5454..

-   x =   0.5454..

---------------------------------

   99x = 54

---------------------------------

x = 54/99

x = 6/11

So p/q form of 0.5454... = 6/11
