here both are isoceles triangle. so base angles are equal.

in triangle pqr angle q=r

let angle q= z

angle r is automatically x(because q=r)

sum of all angles of triangle =180°

angle(p+q+r)= 180°

90° +x+x = 180°

2x = 180°-90°

2x= 90°

x=90°/2

x=45°

angle q=angle r = 45°

same here base angles are equal.

so, now, let angle b= x

angle c is also x

40+x+x=180

2x =180-40

2x = 140

x = 70

so angle b and c = 70°
