2x:3x+ 4000= 40:56

By property of proportion , product of extreme = product of means .

(2x*56)+ 4000= (3x*40)

112x+ 4000 = 120x

4000 = 120x- 112x

4000 = 8x

x = 4000/8

x = 500

Ravi are 2*x = 2*500

That is equal to 1000 rupees


Salary of Sudhir is 3*x =3*500
