Answer:

Given

Initial Velocity (u) =0

Time (t) = 5s

acceleration (a) = 2m/s²

Using formula => v=u+at

v= 0 + 2 x 5

V= 10 m/s

Height upto this point = 1/2 (at²)

=0.5 x 2 x (5)²

= 25m

But after this point fuel supply stopped but rocket still in motion due to that initial motion provided by that fuel burning now slowly slowly speed of rocket start decrease when it moves in upwards direction due to gravitational forces.

So further height travelled by rocket after 5 seconds=

d= -(u²-v²/2g)

d= -[ (0)²- (10)²]/2x10

=100/20

d=5m

So max height traveled by rocket = 25+5=30m

This is your answer hope it will help you. In case of any doubt you can ask in comments.
