Velocity when it reaches the ground

= √(2gH)

= √(2 × 10 × 0.8)

= 4 m/s

Momentum when it touches the floor

= 10kg × 4m/s

= 40 kgm/s

Momentum transferred by 10kg mass to ground is 40 kgm/s

v ^{2}= {u}^{2} + 2gh \\ {v}^{2} = 2gh |since \: u = 0| \\ v = \sqrt{2gh} \\ v = \sqrt{2 \times 10 \times 0.8} = 4 \\ p = mv = 10 \times 4 = 40
