Explanation:

It's given that ,

force applied by man horizontally on the block = 50 N

also, mass of the block = 2 kg

now, we know that

force of friction = μ N

N = normal force on block = 50 N

As the block is pressed from 2 sides, the force of friction is acting on two surfaces of the block.

So,

μN + μN = mg

2μN = mg

By substituting values ,

2 μ (50) = 2 (10 )

μ = 20 / 100

μ = 0.2
