 {2}^{3} + {2}^{x} = {2}^{4} \\ {2}^{x} = {2}^{4} - {2}^{3} \\ {2}^{x} = 16 - 8 \\ {2}^{x} = 8 \\ {2}^{x} = {2}^{3} \\ x = 3
