Answer:

the answer is \frac{5}{8} :)

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the question,

 \frac{x - 3}{x  + 3 + 2}  =  \frac{1}{5}

\frac{x - 3}{x  + 5}  =  \frac{1}{5} \\  \\ 5(x - 3) = 1(x  + 5) \\  \\ 5x  - 15 =  x + 5 \\  \\ 5x - x = 5 + 15 \\  \\ 4x = 20 \\  \\ x =  \frac{20}{4}  \\  \\ x = 5

Then,

fraction = =  \frac{5}{5 + 3}  =  \frac{5}{8}

Let the required number be yx.

Since denominator of the number is greater than its numerator by 3.

∴y=x+3.....(1)

Also,

y+2x−3=1/5

5(x−3)=y+2

5x−1/5=(x+3)+2

(5x−1)/5=x+5

5x−x=15+5

⇒x=20/4=5

Substituting the value of x in equation (1), we have

y=5+3=8

Therefore,

Required no. =5/8
