These diseases occurs suddenly.

They last for a shorter period.

They don't cause damage to the body.

They are not fatal.

Ex : Corona, Common cold, jaundice, typhoid ,malaria

Chronic disease :

They occur over a prolonged period.

They last for longer or lifetime.

They damage the body of infected person.

They are fatal(death causing).

Ex : HIV, Cancer, Tuberculosis
