Hey there!

Let's understand the definitions of Distance and Displacement first to understand better.

Distance is the total path length covered by a moving body in unit time.

Displacement is the shortest distance between initial and final position of the moving body.

i) Distance covered by particle from P to R = 1/2 * (2πr) = πr

                                                                       = (22 / 7) * 3

                                                                      = 9.42 m.

ii) Distance covered by particle from P to P = 2πr

                                                                        = 2 * (22/7) * 3

                                                                       = 18.85 m

iii) Displacement from R to P = 2 * radius

                                                = 2 * 3

                                                = 6 m

iv) Since, the body comes back to point R i.e its initial position. So, displacement is zero.

Hope It Helps You!
