Height=180m.

Required distance is equal to the range of the bomb.

Let r be the range, then

r = u \sqrt{ \frac{2h}{g} }  \\  = 40 \times  \sqrt{ \frac{2 \times 180}{10} }  \\  = 40 \times  \sqrt{36}  \\  = 40 \times 6 \\  = 240m

Hence the required distance is 240m.
