Hi there!

As per the Given Data,

There are 2 sets, A and B.

n(A) and n(B) denotes the No. of elements in respective set.

n(A) = p

n(B) = q

Each of these 'p' elements in Set 'A' can pair with each of q elements in set 'B' and the total number gives the no. of ordered pairs.

To find the no. of ordered pairs (a,b) :

n(A) × n(B)

= p × q

•°• Option - (B) : p × q is correct answer.
