Gɪᴠᴇɴ :-

  • Radius of circle = 70cm.

Tᴏ Fɪɴᴅ :-

  • Total Area to be Designed ?

Fᴏʀᴍᴜʟᴀ ᴜsᴇᴅ :-

  • Circum-radius of an equilateral triangle = (side of the Equilateral ∆)/√3.
  • Area of Equaliteral ∆ = (√3/4) * (side)²
  • Area of circle = π * (radius)²

Sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-

→ Area of Circle = (22/7) * 70 * 70 = 15,400cm². ---- Equation (1).

Now,

Let side of Equilateral ∆ is a.

Than,

(a/√3) = 70

→ a = 703 cm.

So ,

Area of Equilateral ∆ = (√3/4) * (70√3)² = (√3) * 35 * 35 * 3 = 3675√3 = 3675 * 1.73 = 6357.75cm². ----- Equation (2).

Therefore,

Total Area to be Designed = Area of circle - Area of Equaliteral ∆

→ Total Area to be Designed = Equation (1) - Equation (2).

Total Area to be Designed = 15400 - 6357.75

→ Total Area to be Designed = 9042.25cm². (Ans.)

Hence, Total Area to be Designed is 9042.25cm².
