Answer:

Molarity = mass given/molar mass × 1000/volume of solution (cm^3)

So,

=6/40 × 1000/200

= 3/4= 0.75 M

mass of NaOH =6 g

molar mass of NaOH = 40 g

moles of NaOH

= mass / molar mass

= 6/40

=0.15 moles

Volume of solvent (water ) = 200 cm³ = 0.2 L

moles of water

= V / 22.4

= 0.2 / 22.4

= 0.0089

total moles = 0.15 + 0.0089= 0.1589

total moles = V soln / 22.4

V soln

= 22.4 × 0.1589

= 3.559 L

Molarity

= moles of NaOH /V sol (L)

= 0.15 / 3.55 9

= 0.042 M

Normality = Molarity × n factor

n factor of NaOH = 1

Normality = 0.042× 1 = 0.042

Normality = Molarity
