Answer:

Hi your answer is as follows

Step-by-step explanation:

let the short side = x

then long side = 30+x

diagonal = x+60

by using pythagoras theorom ,

(x+60)^2 = x^2 + (30+x)^2

x^2+3600+120x = x^2 + 900+x^2+60x\\

on simplification we get,

x^2-60x-2700

on splitting middle term we get,

x^2-90x+30x-2700\\x(x-90)+30(x-90)\\(x+30)(x-90)

x = -30 , 90

-30 rejected as side of a rectangle or any other polygon can never be negative,

therefore ,

shorter side= 90 m = x

longer side = 30+90 = 120 m

diagonal = 60+90 = 150 m

Answer:

The shorter side of the rectangle  = 90m

The larger side of rectangle  = 120m

The one diagonal of rectangle  = 150m

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the shorter side of the rectangle = x m

Let the larger side of rectangle = y m = (x + 30)m

Let one diagonal of rectangle = (x + 60) m

According to the question:-

H^2 = P^2+B^2

=>(x+60)^2 = (x)^2 + (x+30)^2

=>x^2 +120x + 3600 = x^2+x^2+60x+900

=>60x +2700 = x^2

=> 0 = x^2 -60x -2700

=> 0 = ( x-90)(x+30)

So the values of x are -30 and 90

So, the value of x = 90

Hence,

The shorter side of the rectangle = x m = 90m

The larger side of rectangle = y m = (x + 30)m = 120m

The one diagonal of rectangle = (x + 60) m = 150m
