Given: 
The perimeter of a square is numerically equal to its area.

perimeter of a square=4a
Area of square= a²

4a = a²
a²/a =4
a=4
Area of square = a² = 4×4=16 square units

4a=a2
4=a/a2
4=a2
a2=4*4=16
