current flow more easily through a thick wire because resistance of a wire is inversely proportional to the square of its of diameter and hence lesser resistance making the current to flow through it more easily.

Current will flow easily through the thick wire, as resistance offered to current is inversely proportional to the length of the wire, also the elections moving will get enough space to move through the wire and will not collide with the free electrons of the material.
