Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

Throwing a coin 3 times

To find:-

Find the probability of throwing a head or a tail alternatively in 3 successive tossing a coin

Solution:-

A coin tossed 3 times then the total number of possible outcomes =2³=8

They are

HHH;HHT;HTT;HTH;TTH;THT;THH;TTT

among all outcomes ,There are only two

outcomes of getting Head or tail Alternatively =THT;HTH

No. of Head or tail alternatively=2

Probability of an event =No. of favourable outcomes/Total no. of possible outcomes

=>Probability of getting a head or a tail alternatively=2/8=1/4

Answer:-

:-Probability of getting a head or a tail alternatively=1/4

Possible outcomes =\begin{cases}</p><p></p><p>.&amp; \text{HHH\:HHT\:HTT\:HTH\:TTH\:THT\:THH\:TTT} </p><p>\end{cases}

Among all outcomes ,There are only two outcomes of getting Head or Tail e.g=THT,HTH

No .of Head or tail alternatively =2

Formula :

\bold{P(of \: an \: event \:  )=  \frac{No. \: of \: favourable \: outcomes}{Total \: no. \: of \: possible \: outcomes}}

 =&gt; P(of \: getting \: head \: or \: tail) =  \frac{2}{8}  =  \frac{1}{4}
