let the triangle be ∆ABC ,in which

angle B = 90°

here AB=BC thus it is an isosceles traingle

in an isosceles traingle the two angles are same

thus angle x and angle CAB is the same

thus,

x+x+ 90°= 180 (angle sum property)

2x+90°=180

x=90/2. x= 45°

angle CAB + angle y = 180° (linear pair)

as angle CAB = x

x+y = 180°

45°+ y = 180°. ( x= 45°)

y= 180-45

y= 135°
