Hi..
the angle made by the light ray with mirror is 40°. ... Usually we talk about angles of incidence, 50 degrees, and reflection, also 50 degrees. These are measured from the normal to the surface of the mirror. The normal is sort of the 3 D perpendicular at 90 degrees to the whole surface...
