Given,  an object is placed from a plane mirror at a distance of 5 cm.
In the case of a plane mirror:
  distance of object from plane mirror = distance of image from plane mirror
∴ Distance between object and image = distance of object from plane mirror +
  distance of image from plane mirror
= 5 cm + 5 cm
= 10 cm
