Let the corners of the square be ABCD and let the cell be connected across side AD. The equivalent resistance seen by the cell across AD = 4 in parallel with 12 (4+4+4) which works out to be 3 ohm.

The total current supplied by the cell =9/3=3A.

The current across side resistance AD =9/4=2.25A

The current flowing throw the other three resistors = 3-2.25=0.75=9/12

The Pd across dig AC = 9-0.75(4+4)=9-6=3V

The PD across diag BD = 0.75(4+4)=6V.
