To find the value of given matrix eqn , divide the matrix eqn

A8−5A7+7A6−3A5+A4−5A3+8A2−2A+I by the L.H.S. of eqn (1),

we get quotient A5+A & the remainder A2+A+I ,it can be written as

= (A3−5A2+7A–3I)(A5+A)+(A2+A+I)

=A2+A+I ( using eqn 1)
