Let Rohan’s present age is ‘X’ and then Shubham’s present age will be ‘(X - 8 )’

As per given condition

(X - 10 ) = 5 [ ( X - 8 ) - 10 ]

(X - 10 ) = 5 (X - 18 ) = 5 X - 90

5 X - X = 90 - 10

4 X = 80 or X = ( 80/4) = 20

Hence, Rohan’s present age is 20 Years and then

Shubham’s present age will be ( 20 - 8 ) = 12 Years

Solution:-

Let the age of Shubham be "x" years.

=) Age of Rohan = ( x + 8 ) years.

Shubham's Age = ( x - 10) yrs.

Rohan's Age = ( x + 8 - 10) = ( x - 2) yrs.

A.T.Q.

=) 5( x - 10) = ( x -2)

=) 5x - 50 = x - 2

=) 5x - x = 50 - 2

=) 4x = 48

=) x = 12

Hence,

Shubham's age = x = 12 years.

Rohan's Age = ( x + 8) = 20 years.
