im

GIVEN; NO. OF BOOKS = 60

LENGTH OCCUPIED BY 60 BOOKS = 1.5 M

SOLUTION;

1. LENGTH OCCUPIED BY 50 BOOKS = LENGTH PER BOOK × 50

LENGTH PER BOOK = 1.5 / 60

= .025 M

THEN, .025 × 50 = 1.25 M ( LENGTH OCCUPIED BY 50 BOOKS)

2. 80 CM = .8 M

NO. OF BOOKS REQUIRED × .025 = .8

NO. OF BOOKS REQUIRED = .8 / .025= 32

SO BOOKS REQUIRED TO OCCUPY THE LENGTH OF 80 CM IN SHELF IS 32.

THANKS FRIEND, HOPE IT HELPS.
