First find the equivalent resistance in the circuit.

Since 1 Ω and 3 Ω are in series, so (1 + 3) Ω = 4 Ω

Now, this 4 Ω and 4 Ω in the resistance are in parallel.

Now, \frac{1}{4} + \frac{1}{4} = \frac{1}{2} = 0.5 Ω

Now, this 0.5 Ω and 15 Ω are in series.

So, total equivalent resistance in circuit will be (15 + 0.5) Ω = 15.5 Ω

Now, according to Ohm's law,

V = IR

I=\frac{V}{R}

I=\frac{17}{15.5}

⇒I = 1.096 A

sanjana188: 1/R=1/4+1/4 hoga na
sanjana188: 1/R=1/2
sanjana188: R=2 hoga ??
prabjeetsingh51: Yes, correct.
prabjeetsingh51: I = 1 A, my apologies
sanjana188: okay
sanjana188: thanks
