As it is given that, the thickness of the sides = 2 cm,.
The inner dimension (Gap volume) is :
(25- 2(2)) (18 - 2(2))(15 - 2(2)) cm³
=> (25 - 4)(18 - 4)(15 - 4) cm³
=> 21 x 14 x 11 cm³,.

Inner volume of the box
=> 21 x 14 x 11
=> 294 x 11
=> 3234cm³

The volume of wood used = Volume of dimension 1(Outer dimension) - Volume of dimension 2 (Inner dimension)

=> 25 x 270 - 294 x 11
