Since QLMN and LRMN are parallelograms..opposites siders are equal in length.

i.e. QL = MN = LR

QR = QL + LR = QL + QL = 2QL or vice versa = 2LR.

Since, L divides the line segment LR into two equal parts...L is the mid point of QR.
