Conductance of solution is reciprocal to resistance

conductance = 1/resistancs
= 1/5×10^3
= 2×10^-4 ohm^-1

Hello Friend,

→ Conductance (G) is the reciprocal of Resistance.

So, G = 1/R

→ The unit of conductance is siemens (S) . It is also called mho (reverse of ohm, i.e Ω^(-1)) .

→ Here, for given solution:

R = 5 × 10³ Ω

So, G = 1/R
So, G = 1/(5×10³)
So, G = 2 × 10^(-4) siemens

• Thus, conductance is 2 × 10^(-4) S.

Hope it helps.
