So,

==> -500 = 100(0-20)/t

==> -500t = -2000

==> t = 4 seconds.

We have to calculate distance.

By 3rd equation of motion,

2as = v² - u²

==> 2 * (v-u)/t * s = 0² - 20²

==> 2 * -5 * s = -400

==> -10 * s = -400

==> s = 40 m

Result:

Distance = 40 m
