Resistance of each bulb are , r = V^2 / p
= (220)^2 / 10
= 4840 ohm
total resistance in the circuit R =
220v / 5A
= 44 ohm
let n be the number of bulbs ( each resistance to r) to be connected in parallel to obtain a resistance R.
clearly,
R = r / n
or
n = r / R
4840 ohm / 44 ohm
= 11.0
