Hi ,

x = 2y

x - 2y = 0 ---- ( 1 )

y = 2x

-2x + y = 0----- ( 2 )

compare equations ( 1 ) and ( 2 ) with

a1x + b2 y + c1 = 0 and a2x + b2 y + c2 = 0

a1 = 1 , b1 = -2 , c1 = 0

a2 = -2 , b2 = 1 , c2 = 0

Now find ,

a1 /a2 = 1 / ( -2 ) = - 1/2

b1 / b2 = -2 /1 = -2

∴ a1 / a2 ≠ b1 / b2

The given equations shows two intersecting lines .

put x= 0 in equation ( 1 ) we get y = 0

intersecting point is ( 0 , 0 )

I hope this helps you .
