please solve this question of NCERT book chapter permutation combination

First to choose the chairman, there are 8 persons present. So we can choose the chairman in 8 ways.
Now after one person is chosen as the chairman, there are only 7 persons present.
We can now choose the vice chairman in 7 ways for each chairman.
Therefore, we can do the whole process in 8×7 =56 ways.....

8!/(8-2)! =》(8×7×6!)/6!
=》8×7 = 56
