Solution -

\dfrac{-63}{14} + \dfrac{35}{-7} \\ \\ = \dfrac{-9}{2} + (-5) \\ \\= \dfrac{-9}{2} - 5 \\ \\= \dfrac{-9 - 10}{2} \\ \\= \dfrac{-19}{2} \\\\= -9\dfrac{1}{2}

Answer -

 \textsf-{\dfrac{19}{2}}   or    \textbf -9{\dfrac{1}{2}}

Some things to remember -

  1. (+) (-) = (-)
  2. We can divide 35 with (-7) by (-5)
  3. We can shorten (-63)/14 by 7 and make it (-9)/2
