Explanation

The standard equation of transverse wave is

y = asin[2πt / T - 2πx/λ ]

Given equation is

y = 4sin π/6 sin ( 15t - 3x )

Comparing Eq [i] and with Eq [i]

2π/λ = 3

∴ λv= 2π/3 and 2π/T = 15

T = 2π/15

∴ Speed of propagation wave, v = λ/T = 2π/3/(2π/15) = 5 !
