Va-Vb=100 V
let
Va=100 V
then Vb=0 V
the 6 F and 4 F capacitors are in parallel
therefore net capacitance for the pair=C=6+4=10 F
Method 1
since C and the 10 F resistors have same value therefore the voltage distribution should be equal ie 100/2=50 V
Method 2
net capacitance of the system=
1/Cf=1/C+1/10
=1/10+1/10
=1/5
Cf=5 F
net charge for the circuit Q=
=CV
=5*100
=500 C
therefore
Va-Vc=Q/C
100-Vc=500/10
100-Vc=50
Vc=50 V
