Answer:

we know that log a base a = 1

so that we can write 1 as log (2x-1) base (2x-1)

=> log ( (x^4 +2)/(2x+1) ) base (2x-1) = log(2x-1) base (2x-1)

=> compare log values

=> ((x^4+2)/(2x+1)) = 2x-1

=> x^4 + 2 = (2x-1)(2x+1)

=> x^4 + 2 = 4x²-1

=> x^4 - 4x² + 3 = 0

=> x^4 - 3x² - x² + 3 = 0

=> x²(x²-3)-1(x²-3)=0

=> (x²-1)(x²-3) = 0

=> x²-1 = 0. or. x²-3 = 0

=> x = ±1. or. x = ±√3
