We know that a radius of circle intersecting the circle at any point is perpendicular to the point

So,

OA is perpendicular to AB

Using Pythagoras theorem

(AB) ^2 =(OA) ^2 -(OC) ^2

AB^2 =36 -27

So, AB^2 = 9

Therefore AB =3
