1. Two number are such that the first number is 5 times the second number if 10 is added to both the numbers the first number becomes 3 times the second number find the two numbers?

3(x+10)=5(x+10)
3x+30=5x+50
3x-5x=10-30
-2x=-20
x=10
5x=50

Let second number be x

The first number be 5x

Solve x:

5x + 10 = 3( x + 10)

5x + 10 = 3x + 30

2x = 20

x = 10

Find the numbers:

second number = x = 10

first number = 5x = 5(10) = 50

Answer: The two numbers are 10 and 50
