quantity of sugar=5whole1/2 = 11 / 2 kg

and cost of 11/2 kg =206 whole 1 /4

= 825/ 4 ₹

given, another quantity of sugar

= 8 whole 1/4 = 33 /4 kg

according to question ,

since ,

11 /2 = 835 / 4

33 / 4 = x

by cross multiplication , we get

11 / 2 x = 33 / 4 × 835 / 4

1 / 2 ( 11 x ) = 27255 / 16

11 x = 2 × 27255 / 16

11x = 27255 / 8 => x = 27255 / 88

x = Rs 2475/ 8 = Rs 309.37

therefore ,

cost of 8 whole 1/ 4 kg of sugar

= Rs 309.37
