Please solve this sum. A little fast as I have exams at my school tomorrow.

assuming x + 1/x =9

square both sides,

x²+1/x²+2=81

x²+1/x²= 79

now square again,

x⁴+ 1/x⁴ +2 = 79²

x⁴ +1/x⁴= 79²-2

you can calculate the rest. even if i used wrong values, try to understand the approach and you will be able to solve it. you just have to use the algebraic identities.
